Greenhaw Lodge’s much loved nurse Sarah Ferguson married her childhood sweetheart Ronan Mooney on July 24th at 1:00pm at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Derry, where Sarah’s brother Fr. Ferguson performed the service.
On the big day Sarah and Ronan’s little boy Jake played the part of perfect pageboy as he ushered the five bridesmaids and five groomsmen up the aisle. Sarah, the gorgeous bride was proudly accompanied by her father John down the aisle as her mother Roseann watched on. Father then handed daughter over to the waiting groom whose face was a picture as he saw his stunning bride come toward him.
The happy couple paid a surprise visit to Greenhaw Lodge before their reception. Many complimentary resident remarks were made who delighted in seeing Sarah in all her finery as they encircled the happy duo. Sarah was then whisked away by the handsome groom in a beautiful vintage car admired by many of the male residents.
Sarah has worked in Greenhaw Lodge for the past year and within that time has built a great rapport with residents through her empathetic nature and compassion. Sarah always goes over and above for the Greenhaw Lodge residents and is greatly respected by relatives and staff.
Sarah and Ronan’s reception was held at Ballyliffin Lodge where 200 guests, including work colleagues, danced the night away with musical entertainment by band ‘The Spiltz’ with opportunity for a good jig along with the Irish dancers who performed.
A massive congratulations to Sarah and Ronan and the best of luck for you future together from all at Larchwood Care (NI) Ltd.
