Dear (Next of Kin),
Following the announcement on the 7 January 2021 by the Northern Ireland Executive to implement an enforceable lockdown of all non-essential travel and movement within the province, Larchwood Care NI have reflected upon the increasing numbers of COVID positive cases in the general population and the need to increase the protection measures for residents within all Homes. In line with this new risk assessment all visiting, including care partner arrangements, are being cancelled with immediate effect until the end of February. We recognise the impact that this has upon social contact and encourage all families to make use of virtual and window visits during this period. Arrangements remain in place to facilitate visits in end of life circumstances and such visits can be arranged directly through the Home Manager with appropriate safety measures put in place. These new visiting arrangements will be kept under weekly review and will be relaxed earlier if there is evidence that it is safe to do so. We wish to thank all relatives for their understanding during these difficult times.
Yours sincerely,
______________
