Paddy Nash & the Happy Enchiladas heard Stanley Feeney was a resident here in Greenhaw Lodge Care Home. Stanley was well known to them as he had played with Frank Sinatra many moons ago. Paddy and the gang requested a one-off musical collaboration with Stanley on the drums. Our resident Events Organiser and Stanley’s personal agent, Deborah McLaughlin, a.k.a. Activities Co-Ordinator, set the concert date for Friday 24th October 2014. Read more

It’s not all work and no play for the staff and residents at Culmore Manor Care Home.

Over the past number of years St Columb’s College have visited the nursing home as part of their “Citizenship Programme”.  Around 12 boys call once a week for a period of 10 weeks before moving to another part of their Citizenship Programme.

On 14th November 2014 Glebe Care Centre celebrated Adopt a Donkey Day. The event was in aid of abused and neglected donkeys. Many residents had previously lived on farms and had donkeys of their own which made this occasion very special and it was particularly good for reminiscing.

Our visiting policy has changed since our previous update.  We have had to limit access to allow palliative care visiting only.

This has been a difficult decision to reach however we believe it is in the best interests of the resident population.

Such visits will be limited to one relative per day and for a maximum of 30 minutes.  No children will be permitted access into the Home

This is in line with the increased measures announced by the government tonight 8.30pm 23 March 2020.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in implementing this policy.
