Greenhaw Lodge Care Home celebrated a major milestone with 25 years of service on Thursday 25th February 2016. The home opened up its doors to welcome family, friends, professionals and local people offering musical entertainment, a hot food buffet and an opportunity to meet the residents and Greenhaw staff team.
Student, Glen Wray demonstrated vocals alongside his guitar with old-time songs Greenhaw residents enjoyed.
Resident Danny and his wife Teresa particularly enjoyed the music taking to the floor for some “jiving”. Local band ‘Paddy and the Enchiladas’ also performed their own original tracks.
A token of appreciation was presented to Care Assistant, Leigh Chada, Greenhaw Lodge’s longest serving member of staff.
Ronagh McCaul, Home Manager wishes to thank Colleen Doherty, Activities Co-Ordinator for ensuring the smooth overall running of the day, Danny Doran for help with decorating the home with balloons, banners and streamers and room setup, Domestic staff Bridget, Kelly and Jackie who carried out extra duties to ensure the home was gleaming from ceiling to floor, Administrator, Philomena Gillen responsible for finance control and ‘front of house’ duties, Kitchen staff Lisa Ward and Fiona Montgomery for food provision.
Thank you to all who attended and here’s to the next 25 years!
